The dirt jobs that make a yard work
Most yard problems come down to dirt in the wrong place. The grade slopes toward the house. A low spot holds water for days after a rain. A spoil pile the builder left is still sitting there. The spot where the shed is going is not level.
I have been running equipment for over 11 years. I bring a machine sized for a yard, move the dirt where it needs to go, and leave it graded clean and ready for sod, seed, gravel, or whatever goes on top.
What it handles
The small dirt jobs we take on
- ✓Yards regraded so water drains away from the house
- ✓Low spots filled and swales cut where water needs a way out
- ✓Finish grading so the ground is ready for sod or seed
- ✓Level pads for sheds, playsets, small slabs, and patios
- ✓Spoil piles and leftover dirt spread and graded, or hauled off
- ✓Fill dirt, topsoil, and gravel brought in and spread
- ✓Gravel driveways and small tear outs, covered below
Gravel Driveways
Drives that shed water and quit potholing
Tired gravel drives get regraded, crowned, and topped so water runs off instead of sitting in the ruts. New drives and small parking areas get a solid base under them so they hold up.
- ✓Potholed drives regraded, crowned, and topped
- ✓New gravel drives and small parking areas
- ✓Culverts and edges cleaned up so water has somewhere to go
Small Tear Outs
Old stuff out, spot graded clean
Old sheds, small patios, sidewalks, and stepping pads torn out with a skid steer, hauled off, and the spot graded so you can use it again.
- ✓Small sheds and old outbuildings torn down and hauled off
- ✓Small patios, sidewalks, and stepping pads broken out
- ✓Old landscaping and borders pulled out
- ✓The spot graded clean when it is done
How it goes
From first call to finished ground
- Send photos and an addressUse the form, or text or call. Small jobs I can often price from photos.
- We walk it togetherI look at the grade, where the water goes, and the access, and we talk about what you want.
- You get one fixed priceA clear number before anything starts.
- We do the workDirt moved, ground graded, and everything cleaned up.
- We walk it when it is doneBefore I leave we look at the finished ground together.
What it runs
Honest pricing
Priced by the job, never by the hour. Size, access, and how much material has to come in or go out are what drive the number. Send a few photos and I will get you a real number.
Questions
Grading and dirt work, answered
Do you take small jobs?
Yes. One low spot, one shed pad, one pile of dirt that needs to go somewhere else. Small jobs are what this is for.
Do you do bigger excavation, house pads, or ponds?
Just because it is not listed right now does not mean we are opposed to it. With 11+ years in excavation and land clearing, reach out and tell us what you need done. We would love to talk it through with you.
Can you fix water that runs toward my house?
Usually, yes. That is a grade problem. I reshape the ground so it falls away from the foundation, cut in a swale where the water needs a path out, and add a French drain when grading alone will not do it.
Can you haul dirt off or bring fill in?
Both. Extra dirt and debris can be loaded out and hauled off, or spread and graded on site if you would rather keep it. If you need fill, topsoil, or gravel, I can bring it in.
What machines do you run?
Skid steers and mini skid steers, sized to get through a gate and work a yard without tearing it up getting in and out.
Can you fix my potholed gravel driveway?
Yes. Most tired drives can be regraded, crowned, and topped with fresh gravel instead of rebuilt. I will tell you which one yours needs when I see it.
Do you call 811 before digging?
Every time. Okie811 marks the buried lines before any digging starts. It is the law, and it keeps everybody safe.
